Through the lens of graphic design and social responsibility students will learn to find the magically unexpected in recycled, re-used and re-imagined materials.

This workshop translates real-world observations and insights about sustainability and re-use into graphic design. Combining text and images with recycled materials, students will develop their own rich content through writing, collecting, collaging, and experimenting to create a design narrative.

Basic design fundamentals will be introduced in addition to social responsibility, sustainability and eco-awareness in graphic design. Students will be introduced to topics such as the principles and elements of design, typography, composition and layout.
